Beauty from within starts with three nutrients that have officially approved roles in the EU: biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, and vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Marine collagen and hyaluronic acid taken by mouth are being actively researched, but they do not have approved health claims, and the doses matter.
This guide separates the two groups, explains the habits that make the biggest difference to skin, and shows where Smart Strips BEAUTÉ fits: an oral dissolvable strip that combines all five ingredients in a daily ritual of a few seconds.

Can supplements improve skin and hair?
Supplements can support skin and hair when the body is short of certain nutrients, and some ingredients have regulator-approved roles in maintaining normal skin and hair. They cannot replace sleep, sun protection and a varied diet, and they do not work like a cosmetic treatment applied to the face.
A useful way to think about “beauty from within” is as a floor. Your skin and hair are built from what you eat and repaired while you sleep. A supplement helps keep the floor solid. The structure on top of it is your daily habits.
The nutrients with approved roles
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) reviews scientific evidence before a health claim can appear on a food supplement. Three nutrients in BEAUTÉ have approved claims, used here word for word.
Biotin
Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
Biotin is a B vitamin (sometimes called vitamin B7 or H) that the body uses in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and amino acids. Each BEAUTÉ strip provides 100 µg, which is 200% of the daily nutrient reference value (NRV).
One practical note: high biotin intake can interfere with some laboratory blood tests. If you are having blood work done, tell your doctor which supplements you take.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
Vitamin A is involved in how skin cells grow and renew. Each strip provides 1000 µg, or 125% of the NRV. Because vitamin A is stored in the body, it is worth checking that your other supplements do not add a large second dose. Vitamin A in supplement form is not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Oxidative stress is the everyday wear caused by reactive molecules, from metabolism as well as from sun and pollution. Each strip provides 3 mg of vitamin E as tocopheryl acetate, which is 25% of the NRV.
What is known about marine collagen?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the skin and gives it structure and firmness. Dermatology research shows that skin from older adults produces less of it than skin from young adults: in one study, levels of type I procollagen were 82 ng/mL in donors aged 18 to 29 and 56 ng/mL in donors over 80 (Varani et al., 2006).
Hydrolysed collagen, including marine collagen from fish, is collagen broken down into small peptides. Research has looked at whether these peptides, taken by mouth, can influence skin measures such as hydration and elasticity: a meta-analysis of 26 randomised trials with 1,721 participants reported changes in both (Pu et al., 2023). Part of what is known about absorption comes from blood tests: after people consume gram amounts of collagen hydrolysate, short collagen-derived peptides such as Pro-Hyp can be measured in the blood within one to two hours (Iwai et al., 2005). There is no approved health claim for collagen in the EU, and when EFSA assessed a collagen peptide product for skin elasticity, it found that a cause and effect relationship “has not been established” (EFSA, 2013).
Honesty about the dose belongs here. The trials in that meta-analysis used 0.6 to 12 g of collagen a day (Pu et al., 2023). The 20 mg of hydrolysed marine collagen in a BEAUTÉ strip is far below that. It is part of a combined formula and a daily ritual, not a substitute for a collagen powder protocol. If a high collagen intake is your goal, the format comparison in Collagen Strips vs Collagen Powder explains the trade-offs openly.
What is known about hyaluronic acid taken by mouth?
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that holds water in the skin and joints. In skincare it is applied directly. Taken by mouth, it has been studied in relation to skin. In a 12-week placebo-controlled trial, 60 adults took 120 mg a day and the researchers reported improvements in wrinkle measures; the study was funded by a hyaluronan producer (Oe et al., 2017). That daily amount is twelve times the 10 mg in a BEAUTÉ strip, and the EU has no approved health claim for oral hyaluronic acid.

The habits that matter more than any supplement
If you only change three things for your skin this year, make it these.
Protect your skin from the sun every day
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen on the face, neck and hands is the habit with the clearest evidence. In a randomised trial of 903 adults under 55 in Australia, those who applied sunscreen every day showed less skin ageing over four and a half years than those who used it at their own discretion (Hughes et al., 2013). Overcast days count. So does the drive to work.
Sleep is overnight skincare
Sleep shows on the skin. In a study of 60 women, good sleepers had fewer signs of intrinsic skin ageing than poor sleepers, and their skin barrier recovered 30% better 72 hours after a standard test (Oyetakin-White et al., 2015). Sleep medicine societies recommend seven hours or more a night for adults (Watson et al., 2015), and that, at roughly the same time each night, does more for your face than an extra serum. If waking at 4 am is the pattern, see Z-z-Zen.
Water and food
Drink regularly through the day, not all at once in the evening. Build meals around protein (the raw material for collagen), colourful vegetables and fruit (vitamin C is needed for normal collagen formation), oily fish, nuts and seeds. Alcohol and smoking show on skin faster than almost anything else.
Three beliefs worth letting go of
“More biotin means more hair.” Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, and the body needs only small amounts. Megadoses do not turn normal hair into thicker hair, and they can confuse some blood tests.
“Collagen goes straight to your face.” Swallowed or dissolved, collagen is broken down into smaller pieces before it is used anywhere in the body. What reaches the blood are short fragments such as Pro-Hyp (Iwai et al., 2005). You cannot direct them to the skin, which is why researchers measure skin outcomes rather than assume them.
“Natural glow comes from one product.” Visible skin reflects months of sleep, sun habits, diet, stress and genetics. A supplement can be one steady piece of that. It cannot outrun a habit of four-hour nights.
A simple beauty routine, inside and out
Simplicity is what keeps a routine alive past the third week. A version that suits most people over 35:
Morning. Water as soon as you are up. Breakfast with some protein. A gentle cleanser, a moisturiser and sunscreen. BEAUTÉ after breakfast, on the tongue, while you finish your coffee.
Daytime. Reapply sunscreen if you are outdoors for long stretches. Keep a bottle of water on your desk. Take the stairs and a short walk at lunch; circulation shows on the face too.
Evening. Remove make-up and sunscreen properly. Use your active skincare (retinoids, acids) at night if you use them, as directed by the product or your dermatologist. Screens off half an hour before bed, and the same bedtime most nights.
Nothing on that list is expensive. All of it compounds.
Where BEAUTÉ fits
A photo from a friend’s birthday arrives on your phone, taken in harsh light, and the first thing you notice is your own skin. Not a disaster. Just a little more tired than you feel. You already have sunscreen and a good serum. What you do not have is a routine for the inside that you actually keep.
BEAUTÉ is designed for that gap. One oral dissolvable strip after breakfast combines biotin, vitamin A and vitamin E with hydrolysed marine collagen and hyaluronic acid. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, and vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Collagen and hyaluronic acid complete the formula as researched ingredients, in modest amounts.
The strip dissolves on the tongue in 7 to 30 seconds, without water. Part of the dose is absorbed through the lining of the mouth, which under the tongue is only 100 to 200 µm thick (Hua, 2019), and for that portion first-pass metabolism in the liver is significantly reduced. The format itself comes from medicine: in clinical studies, oral films of several medicines delivered the same amount of active ingredient as the matching tablet (Radicioni et al., 2017; Park et al., 2018). Smart Strips summarise their QuickRelease™ technology as up to 95% bioavailability, up to 4x faster absorption and up to 30% higher effectiveness.
Two facts to know before you buy. BEAUTÉ is not vegan: the collagen comes from fish, so it is not suitable for people with a fish allergy. And it works as a habit: skin and hair renew slowly, so think in terms of weeks of daily use, not days. Take it as directed on the pack.
The sachets are light and compact and go with you anywhere, in a handbag or a carry-on. Some people take BEAUTÉ alongside NMN as a morning pair. Find the full formula at BEAUTÉ, and learn about the format in What Are Oral Dissolvable Strips.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition.
FAQ
Does biotin help hair growth?
Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. It is not a treatment for hair loss; if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss, see a doctor.
Does collagen taken by mouth work?
Research has looked at oral hydrolysed collagen for skin hydration and elasticity, and a meta-analysis of 26 trials reported changes at 0.6 to 12 g a day (Pu et al., 2023). There is no approved EU health claim for collagen.
How much collagen is in BEAUTÉ?
Each strip contains 20 mg of hydrolysed marine collagen, as part of a five-ingredient formula. Studies use gram amounts.
Is BEAUTÉ vegan?
No. It contains marine collagen from fish and is not suitable for vegans or people with a fish allergy.
Does BEAUTÉ contain zinc?
No. The formula is hydrolysed marine collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, vitamin A and biotin.
When will I see results?
Skin and hair renew slowly, so BEAUTÉ is a daily habit measured in weeks. Sleep and sun protection make the biggest visible difference.
Can I take BEAUTÉ during pregnancy?
It contains vitamin A. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or nursing.
